Like a thief in the night they showed up
Claiming to be angry and with a cause to blow-up
With sheer negligence to our laws they have existed
And without any sense of emotional reasoning they’ve rudely persisted
Countless lives have been untimely aborted by them
A couple of national events they have successfully put in disarray
So many families and friends they’ve thrown into severe pain
While they have constantly treated our pleas with utter disdain
Dearest war maniacs, will you please let us be?
Can you kindly take your cause to the appropriate authorities and
spare us the citizenry your wrath?
Just take a look at how you are grounding the economy of our states
Totally leaving Bauchi, Kaduna, Yobe and Jos amongst others in
pitiable states
Can’t you sit and reflect at least for once in your life?
Can’t you just question the motives of your so called financiers?
Have you ever asked about the whereabouts of their families and
wards?
Are they too big to join in your fight of guns, bombs and swords?
Wake up and see that you have brought tough criticism to you
religion
Continually making the world dread every one of you like a demonic
legion
Sadly now, I see my friends of the opposite religion get searched
before gaining entry into public places
An embarrassing site I can’t put up with just like I can’t stare
at faeces
O’ war maniacs, please hearken to the clarion call
Our nation needs your power and support to stand tall
You guys are an essential part of us that we can’t undermine
So let’s stop the callous killings and then reunite.
In all, let’s adhere to the cliché: Nigeria – Good People, Great
Nation.
